新学期开始了，初一下册(七年级下册)英语学起来，高年级同学也可以回来复习巩固。

本节先讲讲Unit1 Can you play the guitar?课文词汇解析，后续会陆续更新本单元及本册短语及语法。

1、sing 唱歌

sing可作及物动词和不及物动词；singer作名词，意为“歌手，歌唱家”。

语境串记

My sister likes singing English songs, and she sings very well. She wants to be a singer in the future.我妹妹喜欢唱英文歌曲，而且她唱得很好，将来她想成为一名歌手。

2、swim游泳

（1）[不及物动词]

go swimming游泳，双写m再加-ing。

swimmer作名词，意为"会游泳者;游泳者"。

Please don't swim in the river.请不要在河里

游泳。

（2）[名词]

go for a swim去游泳

Let's go for a swim.我们去游泳吧。

3、dance跳舞

dance 跳舞、舞蹈

He asked me to dance.他邀请我跳舞。(作不及物动词）

I have a dance class on Sunday.我周日有一节舞蹈课。(作名词）

（1）have a dance 跳舞

. Let's have a dance.咱们跳个舞吧。

（2)dancer 跳舞者；舞蹈演员

•Roy is a great dancer.罗伊是一个很棒的舞蹈演员。

语境串记

I want to be a dancer in the future. I often have dance classes and I like to dance to music.将来我想成为一名舞蹈演员。我经常上舞蹈课，并且我喜欢跟着音乐跳舞。

4、draw画，作及物动词和不及物动词均可。

The artist draws a horse on the wall.这位画家在墙上画了一匹马。(做及物动词，后接名词作宾语。)

I can't draw well.我画得不好。(做不及物动词，后不接宾语)

draw与paint的异同

相同点：两者都有"画”的意思，但含义有所不同。

不同点：

draw 指用铅笔、粉笔或钢笔等绘画，侧重线条。

paint 通常指用颜料等绘画，侧重色彩。

语境串记

Look! Lily is painting mountains. Jim is drawing a little pig.看！莉莉正在画山，吉姆正在画一头小猪。

5、play

play+球类运动/棋牌类名词，译作"打，踢，下(棋)"等，名词前不加任何冠词。

play basketball打篮球

play soccer/football踢足球

play tennis打网球

play volleyball打排球

play baseball打棒球

play ping-pong打乒乓球

play cards打牌

play Chinese chess下中国象棋

play the+乐器类名词，名词前必须加定冠词the，意为“演奏，弹奏，吹奏”。

play the guitar弹吉他

play the piano弹钢琴

play the violin拉小提琴

play the drums敲鼓

play the trumpet吹小号

play the erhu拉二胡

考向：通常在单项选择题中考查play与棋牌类、球类运动、乐器类名词连用时，冠词的使用情况。

课文语境：speak English说英语

6、speak 说（某种语言）；说话

（1）[及物动词] 说（某种语言）（此处用法）其后常接表示语言的名词作宾语。

Can you speak Chinese？你会讲汉语吗？

（2）[不及物动词]说话

通常指说话的能力或方式。

The baby can't speak.那个小宝宝不会说话。

Please speak more slowly.请讲慢点。

[不及物动词]发言；演讲

Do you want to speak at the meeting?你想在会上发言吗？

"May/Can I speak to…，please？“是常见的打电话用语，表示“请让……接电话好吗？"。

May I speak to Jim，please？请让吉姆接电话好吗？

课文语境：I want to join the art club.我想参加美术社团。

7、want to do sth.想要做某事

I want to play soccer after school.放学后我想踢足球。

want的常见用法还有：

want+名词/代词 想要……

want sb.to do sth.想要某人做某事

I like the dog. I want it.我喜欢这只狗。我想要它。

I want you to have a party in the garden for your new tree.我想让你在花园里为你的新树举办一个聚会。

8、join 参加；加入

（1）后可接表示团体或组织的名词（如club、the army 等），表示成为其中一员。（此处用法）

My brother wants to join the army.我哥哥想参军。

（2）后可接人称代词的宾格形式，表示“加入到……之中”。

We want to invite more people to join us.我们想邀请更多的人加入我们。

join 与 take part in的异同

两者都有“参加”的意思，但含义不同。

join：侧重指加入某个社团、机构或组织，成为其中一员（如入党、入团、参军等）。

take part in：侧重指参加会议或某种群众性活动，并在活动中发挥作用。

语境串记

We'll take part in some after-school activities. Would you like to join us？我们要参加一些课外活动。你想加入我们吗？

课文语境：

—Can you draw?你会画画吗？

—Yes，I can.是的，我会。

9、can 能，会（高频词）

情态动词，没有人称和数的变化，其后应接动词原形，两者一起构成谓语。其否定形式为can't。

My little brother can sing that song.我的弟弟会唱那首歌。

Parents can't stay by their children's side all the time.父母无法一直陪在孩子身边。

10、Can you…？你会……吗？

用于询问某人是否具备某种能力或掌握某种技能。其肯定回答为"Yes，I can."，否定回答为"No，I can't."。

—Can you play the violin？你会拉小提琴吗？

—No,I can't.不，我不会。

课文语境：What about you？你呢？

11、What about…?（高频）

-后接名词、代词或动词-ing形式，是常用的交际用语，相当于”How about…？”可用来询问情况或征求意见。

I want a cup of tea. What about you?我想要一杯茶，你呢？（询问情况）

What about playing the guitar?弹吉他怎么样？（征求意见）

课文语境：You're very good at telling stories.你很擅长讲故事。

12、be good at…擅长于…

相当于do well in…,at/in均为介词，后可接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。

She is good at(= does well in)art.她擅长美术。

Lucy loves playing chess and she is good at it.

露西爱下国际象棋，而且她很擅长它。

You are very good at singing. And you will be the most popular star.你很擅长唱歌，你将成为最受欢迎的明星。

13、tell 讲述；告诉

[及物动词]

常见用法如下：

tell stories/jokes 讲故事/说笑话

相当于tell a story/joke

tell sb.sth.=tell sth.to sb.告诉某人某事

tell sb. about sth.告诉某人关于某事(的情况）

He often tells jokes to make us laugh.他经常说笑话逗我们大笑。

Who told him the news?= Who told the news to him？谁告诉了他这个消息？

Linda, can you tell me about the music club.琳达，你能告诉我关于音乐社团的情况吗？

[动词]命令；吩咐

tell sb.（not)to do sth.命令/吩咐某人（不要)做某事

Doctors tell us to wash our hands before and after every meal.医生嘱咐我们饭前饭后要洗手。

（2）[动词]看出；分辨

I can tell you from your sister.我能分辨出你和你姐姐。tell A from B"区分A和B"

14、 story 故事；小说

[可数名词] 复数形式为stories。

tell a story/tell stories 讲故事

Mom,can you tell me a story？妈妈，你能给我讲个故事吗？

This is a story about children.这是一部关于儿童的小说。

Sounds good.听起来不错。

15、Sounds good.听起来不错。

完整形式为"That sounds good."，相于"Sounds great./That sounds great."。常用来回答" Would you like… ?"" What/How about… ?

"Let's…“等提建议的句子，表示赞同别人提出的建议

—Let's play basketball in the park after dinner.

晚饭后我们在公园里打篮球吧。

—That sounds good！那听起来不错！

拓展 sound[系动词]听起来（此处用法）

其后通常接形容词(good、great、interesting等）

作表语。

The whole story sounds very strange.整个故事听起来很奇怪。

课文语境：OK,let's join now！好的，咱们现在去参加吧！

16、Let's do sth.咱们做某事吧。

祈使句，表示提建议

Let's go home,children.孩子们，咱们回家吧。 Let's go to school，Tom.汤姆，咱们去上学吧。Let's do sth. 与 Let us do sth.异同

Let's do sth.意为“咱们做某事吧”，包括说话人和听话人双方在内，含有催促、建议或请对方一起行动的意思。

Let us do sth.意为“让我们做某事吧”，不包括听话人在do sth.内，常表示请求。
