玉楼春
〔宋代〕宋祁
东城渐觉风光好，縠皱波纹迎客棹。
绿杨烟外晓寒轻，红杏枝头春意闹。
浮生长恨欢娱少，肯爱千金轻一笑。
为君持酒劝斜阳，且向花间留晚照。
宋祁（998—1061），字子京。雍丘（今河南商丘民权县）人，北宋官员、著名文学家、史学家、词人。诗词语言工丽。
SONG Qi (998-1061), styled Redbud Wood, born in Yongqiu (present-day Minquan County, Shangqiu, Henan Province). An official of Northern Song dynasty, he was a well-known writer, historian and lyricist. The language of his poems and lyrics is exquisite and beautiful.（温建英译）
A Spring Scene
—To the Tune of Jade Tower Spring

East Town feels the scene’s the best;
The waves roll to meet the guest.
The mistcool, the willows sway;
Apricot twigs see Spring play.
Human life’s too short a while;
The world loves gold than a smile!
To the sun I raise my cup:
Why not light blooms, light them up?
